He told Humans of Bombay, “It took me a long time to say yes to that film, because when Balki came to me, the first thing I thought was, ‘What kind of story is this? He’s crazy’. And that Amitabh Why would you come to me to play Bachchan’s mother? This was the only script that I shared with a few of my friends. Because once the initial jitters got over, I realized that this is a great script.’ ‘
Vidya further added, “As an actor, I wanted to be a part of it, but I wanted some people to read it and tell me what they think. And they all said, ‘Oh my God, you must do this.’ But it took me a while to say yes. It was not an instant decision.
