Luv Ranjan Offer Film To Ranbir: Ranbir Kapoor is working under the direction of Luv Ranjan for the first time. In the film Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen sharing the screen with actress Shraddha Kapoor. The film has not even been released yet and it is being said that Luv Ranjan is very happy with Ranbir’s work and wants to do more films with him.
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Luv has offered two films to Ranbir even before the release of ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar’. The first is the biopic of former cricketer Sourav Ganguly, for whom Ranbir was always a strong contender. Ranbir himself has on several occasions expressed his desire to play the role of ‘Dada’ on screen, as the former Indian cricket captain is fondly called. However, Luv will not direct, but will produce it.
In the next film, Luv will be seen exploring the action genre, something he has never done before. Apparently, Ajay Devgan and Ranbir Kapoor were initially cast together as brothers in the film, but due to date issues, it could not go on floors. Not only Luv Ranjan, but Ranbir himself has also been showing excitement about working with Luv on many occasions.
Ranbir is making a comeback in rom-com
The initial phase of Ranbir’s career in Bollywood was dominated by romantic dramas, which worked really well for him. Of his 11 romantic films, only two, Roy (2015) and Tamasha (2015), failed at the box office. His 2013 film ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ starring Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Koechlin earned Rs 188.57 crore and Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ collected Rs 112.48 crore. His other romantic dramas, ‘Wake Up Sid’, ‘Barfi’ and ‘Rockstar’ were also well received by the fans. Talking of films other than romantic films, only ‘Sanju’ (Rs 342.53 crore) was a big hit. Although ‘Brahmastra’ also earned well but its budget was also very big.
