Ajay Devgn Recalls Amitabh Bachchan Getting Injured On Major Saab Set

Ajay Devgn on Amitabh Bachchan: Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan recently met with an accident during the shooting of a film and got hurt. After this, he had to leave the shooting in the middle and come back to Mumbai. Ajay Devgan along with Tabu launched the trailer of Bhola on Monday. The program recalled the time when Amitabh Bachchan was injured on the sets of Major Saab (1998).

When Ajay was asked about the security measures he takes on the sets of his films, the actor said that doing action for films has become easier today than a few years ago. The actor narrated an incident from the sets of the film Major Saab, where he shared screen space with Amitabh Bachchan.

Big B jumped from three floors

He said, ‘It seems that our work is difficult and now it is also easy. At that time Mr. Bachchan used to do action. There were no mattresses, no safety measures, no cables. We hurt every part of our body. Mr. Bachchan has done such shots which you cannot even imagine. I remember he got injured while doing ‘Major Saab’. He insisted that he would jump from some thirty feet. It was three floors high, and I told him let’s not do this shot. I mean we can make it work with duplicates. We both had to jump and he insisted that we do. We were hurt in that film too. So it’s excitement.

Amitabh Bachchan recently shared that he suffered an injury on the sets of his upcoming film project K, which also stars Prabhas and Deepika Padukone. Ajay Devgan talked about the kind of safety precautions he has followed on the sets of films these days. He said, “Now I would say things are very easy. There are cables. There are safety precautions. There are ambulances and doctors on the set. There is padding and many other things. So, it has become relatively easier. Thank God, whereas We are getting old, things are getting easier too.

Speaking on shooting action sequences on the sets, he said, “It’s like driving a car. You can have an accident anytime, but you try to be safe all the time. So, sometimes it happens, but We try to take all the safety measures, but there is a risk in this also.

Tabu did tremendous action

Tabu was asked if she is scared of doing so much action in Bhula. She said, “If you think about it, your chances of getting injured are always one percent.” The actor then took the opportunity to thank Bhola’s team, who ensured that he remained “scratch-free”. Describing how Ajay and Bhola’s team took safety precautions seriously, he shared, “I entered the film with my eyes closed. I knew that I have to do a lot of action (in this film). He (Devgan) made everything easy. He simply said, ‘Action will have to be done.’ So I had to. But the thing is, he really made it look so easy.
